After a few years of scanning around commercial places like restaurants and stores, I have some frequencies that I would like to share. If you’re like me and find it fun to listen to the people at Costco talk about a spill on isle 6, then you’re in luck.

467.8500
This frequency is the main commercial radio frequency. It’s channel 1 for those Motorola walkies that restaurants use. Places I’ve heard: Costco, Walmart, Olive Garden, Outback Steakhouse, Cracker Barrel, and some malls. 99% of stores and other restaurants. Add this to your scanner!

467.750
The only place that uses this (afaik) is Target.

GMRS/FRS
Chick-fil-A uses channel 7(in my area) for the people who stand outside and take orders. It’s different for each location, so you might have to scan all the walkie talkie frequencies to find it. It’s cool to hear them call in your order when you get lots of food.

Well that’s it for the list. I will add more if I find more universal frequencies. It’s important to note that most of the store and restaurants use privacy codes or encryption on the radios, so you will be able to listen fine but if you transmit by accident you won’t be heard by them. Of course this only applies if you have a radio that can listen on those frequencies and transmit.
