Considerign an antenna

I'm thinking about getting an antenna for my PSR-500 when used at home, and I'm considering the ST4 ( ST4 Antennacraft Omni Base Antenna ). It's reasonable in price, and looks like it's the right thing. Any thoughts or opionions? My office is adjacent to our two story garage, so I'm thinking of just going through teh wall and up with it. I think getting another 25 feet or so would help. Also, i just got my 10 meter ham license, and am wondering if anyone knows if I can swap this out to a 10 meter radio as well?

I have that scanner antenna and it's great. If you are going to put a scanner antenna up, just get another antenna for your 10m radio. If you are going to work 2M/440, get one that will do multiple bands.
