Conventional only scanners and rebanding

This might be a very noobish question. But it doesn't hurt to ask. So here it goes:

Are conventional only scanners with 800mhz affected by rebanding? Will they need a CPU change to function correctly on the 800mhz band?

No, they'll still work fine.

Rebanding only affects Motorola Type I and Type II radio systems.

EDACS systems and Conventional systems will not be affected by rebanding.

The only thing conventionally that will change are the 8Call and 8Tac freqs; they will simply shift 15 mhz down. Nothing more than a few keystrokes for reprogramming will be needed.
