So I just learned about the use of ETags. Read about it here. Lucb1e.com :: Cookieless Cookies

I have tried the addon for Firefox called Secretagent and it works, but you have to disable all options except disable ETags otherwise you can't log into a forum. There is a discussion here. Can't disable caching (problem with cookieless cookies) • mozillaZine Forums

Private browsing mode doesn't disable it. I have tried three different versions of Firefox. What I did find if you select clear cookies and cache on Firefox exit is that when you restart the browser twice the stored text from the website goes away. I do use Self destructing cookies too and have the cache deleted in 1 minute, but that too doesn't work.

Pass this info. on so that others aren't being tracked.

about:config~

browser.cache.disk.capacity = 0
browser.cache.disk.enable = false
browser.cache.disk_cache_ssl = false (and only a total PEBKAC case would ever set that to "true"! ;o)
browser.cache.memory.enable = false
browser.cache.offline.capacity = 0
browser.cache.offline.enable = false
media.cache_size = 0
network.buffer.cache.count = 0
network.buffer.cache.size = 0
privacy.clearOnShutdown.cache = true (why not?)
privacy.cpd.cache = true (why not?)
network.http.use-cache = false

Just sayin'...

Try to store the text in the link I provided and close Firefox then go back to the site and you will still see the text. Clearing the cache doesn't help. That is what's talked about in the Mozilla thread I linked to.

Edit-

Just tried all those settings in About:config in a clean install of FF in a virtual machine and the text does go away after reboot of the browser, but it will remain during season. Secretagent makers it so that it isn't stored at all. Plus the hit count on how many times you viewed the site is still there. I even changed IP addresses.

Edit 2-

Restarted the computer and it still shows a hit count.
