Copper Thefts !

The copper thefts continue here unabated.

Last night there was over $10,000 damage done to a local church. Churches seem to be getting the brunt of the thefts here the past few weeks.

(Not enough copper at tower sites anymore)...

One theft recently at a church involved the theft of the copper feed line to their propane tank. The never even shut the valve off !!!

Gallipolis Christian Church...

This church is about 3.5 miles outside of Gallipolis on a STATE ROUTE - SR588 and sits along the highway. They have supurb lighting around the parking lot and the building.

With the thieves, there is NO FEAR of getting caught. Or, if caught after the fact (like at the scrapyard) there is NO FEAR from our judicial system.

Another one last night !

Theives got another church LAST NIGHT in the Rio Grande area of Gallia Colunty. Did about $13,500 in damage to the heating/AC unit. No heat in the church now.

We're going to get down into the twenties here tonight temp-wise....

SOME deputies on our sheriff's department think they are the highway patrol. Riding around on US35, running radar and stopping cars.

Ought to get out on the BACK ROADS and check a few churches!!!!

Where I live, nothing is safe from copper thives, my city of warren has had deaths from crack heads breaking into power stations. The one factory in down the road from my house has been cleaned out 2 times all ready.

Out in Morgan Township they have stolen the SAME 250 foot sectoin of telephone cable a half a dozen times now.

The phone company puts it back, they wait a few days and go steal it again!!!!

I just wish they'd elctrify it once when they put it back up !!!!
