My Sony ICF-SW7600G smokes my Sony 2010 when it comes to SSB. But the 2010 seems to be more sensitive and selective in normal mode. But SSB reception just sucks. It's not intelligible at all. I would like to have the best of both worlds and improve the 2010's reception. Could I use an outboard BFO like the TG37 (designed for radios like the CC Radio and Redsun RP2100) to improve the 2010?

Or perhaps the SSB in my 2010 is misaligned?

TIA.

I've had both radios, and there must be something wrong with your 2010, as it smokes the 7600 in SSB. Only reason I sold mine was I got more than I paid for it, and it had a bunch of issues while I had it related to quality control (Bad solder joints) and it's basically badly designed case that caused intermittent loss of battery power.

Ah yes, the old Error.3 issue. Mine has that too. Fortunately it's only occasional.

Sounds like it needs a going through. Best option at this point looks like Kiwa.

Thanks for all your advice, guys.
