Could text font size be a display option? SDS100 or 200....

I finally started to play with the text colors after finally going with the 'Detailed Trunk" smaller fonts but I don't think there is a way to change font size for individual items, only color in a given area of the screen. This is concerning my SDS200. I am finding that for the 'channel name' the font could be smaller since department names can often be so long. When I had it on the simple trunk (default) most of the time it could display the entire name of a department unless it was super long.

I am now undergoing a somewhat lengthy process of abbreviating things like 'County', making it Co. instead, so I can display more at one time on the screen. Also, wondering if future Uniden models could have an optional scroll that would make a name scroll across the screen if you wanted it to. Either that or make font size selectable for anything on the screen. In my case, I'd obviously make my channel name font a bit smaller to fit more on the screen.

Anyone agree or do you think I'm asking for too much here??

Very funny! I realize you can see more of the tag but less overall information. The scanner comes in simple mode by default so we all start in simple mode and therefore we are all familiar with what it offers. Yes, the alpha-tags have two lines instead of one so you can see a lot more. But detail mode has more of what you need as you get experienced with the scanner. I need to see the site frequencies, there is no other possibility. So reverting back to simple mode is certainly not an option. But Uniden improving the scanner (or future scanners) to make it/them more versatile should be an option. Scanner manufacturers need our help to give them ideas because they don't seem to think of everything. And I have made it a point in many posts to point out obvious fails. Great scanners can and should be greater. I don't complain, I offer ideas. Hoping a Uniden rep of some sort sees my posts.
