"filter audio" is unchecked
Double check to see that "filter audio" is unchecked. (in your SDR device under audio)

If that is in Ottawa, then I'm not gonna get it out my way.
And I am using DSD plus.
That may be true. But I'm not gonna lug the laptop and USB port stick and the sdr stuff along with me though.Just sit at the top of the hill on Country Road #1 just outside the 'frew and you should hear just about everything up and down the Valley

Your updates are appreciated and have been added to the database.
Having fun, are we?
You will be able to do everything you mentioned. Listen to one group only, lock out others etc.

Really? All I'm seeing are control channels. Aren't you missing some voice channels?So....how do I set my files up to do all this? Seriously, all the instructions are jibberish to me.
All the frequencies I want to monitor are all posted in this thread.

Will the software (in one of the text files??) tell me what frequencies they are? Cause anytime I've heard any audio I haven't seen anything anywhere reflect voice frequencies. I know I'm just getting started in all this. I just haven't seen anything.DMR channels have two timeslots, so one is the voice channel and the other is a traffic channel for voice and data calls.
You need to monitor the control channels and see how many traffic channels each site has. Best done during weekdays when there is some subscriber activity.
And completely off topic:
This is a wide-area network covering Southern Quebec and Southern Ontario.

No. It's the other way around - you have to tell the software. Will the software (in one of the text files??) tell me what frequencies they are? Some sites rotate their control channel once per day. I didn't say otherwise.Example. There's 460.625 & 460.075 is only one supposed to be the control channel and one being the voice frequency? I was under the impression the control channel swapped out every so often. Are you saying no?
Yes, +5 MHz will be the inputs. I wouldn't trust IC to be up to date, so just because you don't find other channels listed...In the frequency search on the government website there are other frequencies but I assumed they were just input frequencies nothing else and I don't see them reflected in the database here. Ex. 5 mhz apart.
Just look for voice call records in the event file.I think I'm gonna leave the computer just sit on one of these systems control channels tomorrow while I'm at work. Maybe I'll see something that I've missed. I think I know which text file all that info shows up in. I've cleared it all up and starting fresh.
Once you identify all of the NXDN, DMR and P25 voice channels in your area, you can create a scan list and have DSD+ record all voice calls, which you can later play back to determine who the users are, etc.Like you say. I probably need a full day of watching a system during normal working hours to see what happens.
Next is learning how to put it into scanner mode. Whatever that is. I need to try and fully understand how to properly follow a system and learn what's it's telling me and then figure out who's using them and figure out talk groups and channels slots.
Not much of a concern unless you're programming a DMR scanner or radio.Where do these colour codes come into play also?
Yep, it's pretty much the same deal. You should be an expert by now!Me learning this is like going back to the days of learning about all the regular trunking systems that we've all become accustomed to that we listen to everyday day now.

Yeah I've got a few more to try out. Will try each system each day while I'm away just to see what's up.Nope... not much action there. Can you get decent signal on any other sites, maybe give one of those a try?
