Boring, windy, rainy day in Union County. So I did some old school spectrum scanning and came up with a couple I can't identify via the database or my mound of long time notes.

This is TV channel 17 ATSC pilot carrier. Actual frequency is probably closer to 488.31

Your 464.1500 MotoTrbo find is likely McCabe Ambulance out of Hudson County. WPKD521.

That was my prime suspicion. It's in the database, but didn't come up on search. I'll see if I can get any TRBO data off it, but I suspect I won't be able to.

Here are a couple of possibilities I've heard on L.I.

That sounds about right. Especially with the Queens and Nassau cabs being infamous for using excessive power.

If it is, and it probably is, it's not licensed. I'll hold on it at 23:00L and see what pops up.

In my notes, I have confirmed 451.8875 (same PL) as Sheraton Suites On The Hudson in Weehawkin. Perhaps some unlicensed spanish cab company is using the same PL.

456.9625 I have as the input frequency to Downtown Newark Security (which is DMR) on 451.9625.

That's what made me curious because I knew they were the licensee, but this was analog and not DMR.

As for Sheraton Suites, it's odd but of the four languages I speak, Spanish is not one of them. So it could have also been the staff just speaking Spanish. But some of the English words definitely made it seem like a cab company.

451.8875 PL 88.5 is definitely Sheraton Suites. I just confirmed hearing them call housekeeping for wash cloths....all English.

451.9625/456.9625 - I am 99% sure it is Newark Downtown Security DMR (I am not picking up anything analog on that frequency from my location. If you are, then you are hearing something else. Also note that Universal Maritime Ops are also licensed there, but only for 2 Watts of power (also DMR license). I doubt you are hearing them though.
