Anyone have info about communications at the new Cowboys Stadium?

I found a trunked license which is located at the stadium site:

Not sure about that. I work about 4 miles from the stadium and will have the good ol' PSR500 to listen while at work. I have Arlington PD's event talkgroups loaded and they get really busy!

During the George Straight concert back in June, I drove over to Lamar and loitered a bit with the Pro97 in LTR mode. I got tired of trying to figure it out real quickly.

I don't know if these are correct or not, but here are some freqs with LCNs
according to the Pro97, but I've never used that feature before, so I don't know
how reliable it is.

0-20-038 sounds like security, maybe VIP security, because they were discussing
the "first lady(Perry's wife I assume, since he was there)", "package", her
departure, and coordinating with APD motor jocks, DPS, etc.

03 461.8375
05 462.0875
07 462.3000
09 463.2000
11 463.5250
14 463.7625
15 464.2375
20 464.9125

It's a very difficult system to hear, of course I was right by a big tower with
tons of transmitters, and I had a few other radios going.

Well shoot it looks like I might have to head down there sometime and run LTR analyzer and see if I can get a good map out of the system. :)

Looks like the good ol 396T that I have sitting around in paper weight mode needs to get set up with clear call LTR and brought to work.

Hey Matt,
Do you know how LTR Analyzer compares to the Pro-97 LTR helper mode? I might have to mess with trying to set that up on something.
FYI, I loose the signal a few miles north of the stadium. I'm not sure if it's better in any other directions. Monday I scanned a little bit more, but I didn't have the Pro-97 with me. I listened to the inputs to make sure I was hearing stuff that was pretty close by. It seems like all of the talkgroups I saw/heard had 20 as their home repeater. I think some of those many frequencies on the license, might be part of a different system(s).
Happy Scanning,
Ben

Hi Ben actually I have never used the Pro 97 LTR Helper Mode so I honestly can't say how how those two compare.

OK. Thanks anyway. I might head over that way later. There's a college game this evening, so it might be a good time to at least get the LCNs. If I find anything new, I'll post it.

I know that this may be a little off topic but has to do With Cowboys stadium. I was on the AT&T wireless site and found this interesting article from September 17th about how they increased coverage in and around Cowboys Stadium. The article also talks about how they added a distributed antennas system (DAS) inside the stadium to increase coverage.

Attached is the link to the article:

After loitering in the stadium neighborhood for a few hours and using the Pro-97's LTR helper feature, and listening to the inputs (freqs listed +5Mhz) on another scanner, here is my latest attempt at the LCNs. There are a couple of changes from the previous post. I wasn't able to nail down LCN 19. Maybe next time, I'll try and figure out some of the talkgroups. Today, I was more interested in the LCNs, but from very brief listening and a lot of assumption on my part here are a few talkgroups.

1-20-029 is probably audio/video type stuff
1-20-010 house keeping
1-20-045 All Call announcement about opening the gates
1-20-001 probably parking

1 461.2750
2 461.5125
3 461.8375
4 451.2875
5 462.0875
6 451.4875
7 462.3000
8 451.7875
9 452.1250
10 452.4875
11 463.5250
12 452.6875
13 453.0125
14 462.5000
15 463.2250
16 464.2000
17 464.6500
18 464.4500
19 ???????
20 464.9125

I'm open to corrections and completions.

Happy Scanning,
Ben

Been listening to this for a while today. I'm about 3 miles from the stadium.

1-01-181 and 1-01-184 coming up on LCN 1 (461.275) almost sounds like an automotive supply store. They keep talking about if there are parts for *some name here* and saying they will come get them. They were talking about motor mounts, fuel / air filters, ect.

*returns to scanning*

Looking at my logs on my web page I have 461.2750 as LCN 1 of the Blair Comm (System 2) system in Dallas. I haven't heard 1-01-184 but I have heard 1-01-181 as part of that system.

Yeah. I'm sure that this is probably that system. Other then that chan, it has been fairly quiet.

I'd bet it's all an LTR system. Put your scanner in LTR mode and HELP us ID that!

Oop's, RR didn't show me the whole thread - disregard my post.

What can you tell us? :) Are they using anything other than the LTR system? Do you have a good talkgroup list?

The OLD cowboy stadium used iCOM equipment. So that would limit us to Smart trunk-II and conventional, Maybe MPT-1327. But I think the OLD Texas Stadium was all conventional or at least analog.
