• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I have a pair of CP200's that I'd like to get programmed. My company has an MOL account but since the CPS is discontinued MS is unable to provide it. I had a chat with them this afternoon and was hoping they'd still be able to get me a copy which they wouldn't. But that was not unexpected.

Is there anyone in the Western Burbs of Chicago that has the CPS and is willing to lend a hand?

Might be faster to hop on google maps and look up 2-way shops.. see who is motorola authorized service and ask them if they can program them.
Back when i worked at a radio shop in Dallas we always kept older outdated software and cables for legacy customers.

I'll add that I have CPS16 and I'm willing to trade services. I'll program up someone's XPR's in exchange. I can hex edit the code plugs for T code 6550 and 4550 radios and I have the 25KHz entitlement.

Hang Tight. I might take you up on it. These are old but look to be functional. One seems to be programmed but the other doesn't. The model code is AAH50RDC9AA2AN. Firmware seems to be R3.04.02 from the back but I'm not sure if they've been upgraded since I have no way to tell.

Sure thing. If you decide, just shoot me an email.

Do you have the 25KHz entitlement? How about getting them up to a stable firmware?
I don't have the firmware but there is nothing stopping me from programming it in wideband

I'm going to send the radios off to you. I'll create a channel list so you can program each the same. They're 16 channel so nothing big.

You can PM me your address or email it to me.
