CPW-fed Microstrip patch antenna for 2.4GHz band

I am designing a microstrip patch antenna with CPW feed to operate at 2.4GHz. The antenna should have minimum back radiation. I have tried many techniques but all in vain and the radiation pattern is omni-directional. If someone can help me to make this antenna a directional one. Thanks
