I've read through the forums and I have come across (Scantenna vs. 20-176) and (D-130J vs. 20-043), but I have not come across any post that compares (D-130J vs. 20-176). Is there anyone out there that uses this combination? How are they compared to frequency range? I figure the D-130J can pull in a few more frequencies due to the extra elements.

Long story short, the Scantenna might do a little better on VHF/Lo, but the D-130J will stand up better over the years to high winds, and ice. Otherwise I think they're about equal. Neither would be the best choice for the 850MHz band.
