Has anyone else noticed how quiet darien is?? I live in long island but usually get the signal when in western nassau county. Lately I havent been able to hear them??!! Anyone have the nac codes for the 476.7500/477.00 frequencies??

how do you mean "quiet"?, as if they aren't transmitting or as in a weak signal? I live in Norwalk and can barely pick them up but I haven't noticed any change recently

I mean silent, no transmissions heard??!! I know I usually dont get long periods of talk but recently,nothing!! I started to think they may have moved to encryption or mabe the greenwich/stamford systems making it impossible for me to hear from long island.you say you barely get them in norwalk???? why?? Its the next town over!!! Did they lower the power maybe??

Try going to scanct.com and listen to feed 6 which has Darien PD and New Canaan set up.
You might have something going on with your scanner. Do you have the antenuator turned on by mistake?? Just something to check.

Hello dave, No I do not use the attenuation much. I noticed much less activity,even on scan ct. Not sure but seems odd??!! norwalk comes in with a 2 bar signal and darien is silent?!! maybe they changed their power or antenna??
