R6 Date of manufacture

Can you tell the manufacture date of a R6 from the serial number.
I have one here from Japan SN:61020204

Unlike Uniden, I don't believe there is anyway to determine the manufacturing date from Icom's serial numbers. You could try contacting Icom customer support to see if they can determine the date.
