I recently began to listen again to the DCFD dispatch on 154.19/77.0, which since it became a legacy channel has been through both good and bad times. Recent transmissions are pretty bad, with very low
audio -- so low that it's impossible copy unless you run the radio's audio level all the way up. Anyone else
having this problem, and if so any ideas what their problem is at DC Fire?

I have the same issue on the TRS channels from time to time.DCFD communications is the worst from dispatchers to equipment to management. I can't pickup the 154.19 dispatch and I pickup the TRS system out here in Loudoun County. One would think I could receive the conventional system. I was wondering if it has anything to do with the antennas that carry their signal?
Also on the subject of DCFD TRS system I noticed they have 2 automated dispatch channels. Are they both operational?

I have not heard the 154.19 dispatch in a couple of weeks. Maybe they are not simulcasting on the conventional dispatch channel anymore. I work in SE DC and would expect a strong enough signal but it has been quiet. .

The only automated dispatch channel I ever hear being used is talkgroup # 40000.

Legacy channel

Made a phone call to a reliable source and he said that 154.19 is shutdown. Didn't have any other input
other than it was gone.
So the only source will be the 850 system.

My very reliable source tells me that "its being worked on" so just be patient.

DCFD radio system

PJH if that is the case I will wait and see. I find it hard to believe that DCFD does anything to improve
the system. Got my hopes up. It got better than took a step backwards especially in the evening.
