Heard North Mountain DCNR on 151.2950 pl 114.8 ask to switch to Low Band Ch1. Mobile unit did not have low band, so they asked if he would pick up a low band (portable?). I have heard a request to use low band once before.

I realize low band propagates further in hilly terrains, and the mobile was not coming through well, but is this unusual? What frequencies they might use? Fish, Game, neither?

If they used a Low Band system before their current High Band system, it probably is that. Does anyone have their old Low Band frequencies (if they did use Low Band)?

Hello,
I don't have my files with me but I recall hearing the game and fishing comm. on freq's starting at 44.72 up to about 45.04...I believe.
20Khz spacing. I'll check tomorrow and re-post.

This goes back 8 years when I lived in Lancaster Co.

I hear the Game Commission on 44.6400 all the time but I'm waiting to hear the Fish & Boat commission now that the lakes are starting to get a lot of use. Let me know if you find anything like that or any info on what low band freq they actually use.
