I think Alabama's state-wide network uses voice inversion. In addition, Phenix City, just across the Chattahoochee River from me, also uses that netwook but, fortunately, I've never had an interest in them. In any event, I'm gonna hang on to that information for future reference,

There were some users here a couple years back that talked on the old Sheriff Net frequency (155.730) that used voice inversion. Every so often, they would turn it off if they were having problems hearing one another. I was able to determine it was a local PD's deputies a county over talking on this frequency. You could make out common english words by ear when they were talking in inverted modes but things like a persons name or uncommon words were hard to make out by ear.
