Del Mar is a member of the North County Dispatch JPA (Northcom). See the database for "Fire North Zone" talkgroups in Zone 3 and Zone 4.

Do you know if the Tac numbers refer to the zone number? For instance, under North County Dispatch, would Tac 3D refer to zone #3?
I'd be interested to know if there is a map or list that specifies which cities where in each zone.

Generally, the talkgroups are identified by the numeric (Zone) + alpha (knob position) combinations - 3D is Fire Fleetmap Zone 3, fourth mode in the Zone. We got away from hard-naming Command and Tacs as requirements have changed (and reprogramming intervals can be measured in years). Each Dispatch Center sets the operational usage (Command or Tac) for the talkgroups in the Zones they manage, so 'Tac 3D' is mode 3D with a Northcom operational designation of that talkgroup as a tac.

Certain talkgroups do have hard name coding - the various Dispatch groups, and Travel 11A.

The North County Dispatch JPA website (North County Dispatch JPA) has much of what you are looking for regarding cities / dispatch relationships.

The Data Base shows Del Mar Fire as a independent dept, with its own Dispatch Channel and 3 tac Channels ? ...... Then to make things more confusing, there's a Thread down below with all The RE-Numbering of North com And Del Mar Fire not in It ?.

So whats Del Mar Fires Numbering and do they get Dispatch on 3-A

I can't answer the unit numbering, but yes, they are dispatched on 3A.
Not everything in the database is accurate.

Most of the county fire department shave their own little talkgrups for chit chatting and such, not to be confused with the zone ADMIN talkgroups. I know most of the Northcomm agencies like San Marcos and Vista have DIGITAL FD talkgroups, where you might here a truck talking to a engine about miscellaneous things like did you bring the ladder back or such.
