Hey guys,
Could some of you that can confirm the Delco FD system layout have a look at the dB to see if I have it right?

I have some descrepancies compared to a (the) local guide but do not monitor FD that often. those of you that do have knowledge outside the published stuff have a look and let me know via the data submission form or thru a PM.

Thanks,
Dave

There was an article in the paper not long ago about Haverford Twp. considering joining the county radio system in a few years.

They might as well. I know HTBF has it's own station numbers but also have station numbers used by DelCo FireBoard. In any case, are they talking about both HTBF and Haverford PD joining county radio? If that's true, then Media PD would remain the lone holdout as far as self-dispatching goes.

The article from what I remember was mainly about them considering joining the county system in the future because it's cheaper than running their own comm center. Some powers are afraid there might be a slight delay in the response times of emergency services being someone in the county comm center not as familiar with Haverford Twp. like there own E911 staff is. I think they said they were going to stick with there system for the next few years anyway. The article was in the Delaware County Daily Times.

Or some powers are afraid of the county taking over their feifdom (a typical situation in DelCo). That said, when Ridley closed their PSAP, most of their dispatchers simply moved over to DelCom/FireBoard. I don't see why that wouldn't happen for Haverford as well. Eventually, Haverford may have to move since I don't know how well their 453 freqs will mesh with the county's 500 freqs.

Any UHF portable I have ever seen that covers the 500MHz area covers from 450 to 512, so I don't see there being an issue from a strict frequency compatibility issue.
