Delco PD Sector 5

Hi Steve and/or Radio Repair,

PD Sector 5 has been sounding bad. Weak, scratchy and broken-up.

Radio repair just came up on Sector 5 for a radio check and it sounded fine. Anyone else that is on there, especially the Sector 5 dispatcher sounds horrible.

Anyone else seeing the same? I'm in Sector 6, Providence & North Ave. Border of Sectors 2, 5 & 6.

I know this was discussed in the new system thread, but someone suggested to start a separate thread if it continued. The last time Keith fixed it, it was fine for a while, but seems to have degraded again.

Coming in fine with minimal scratch to Montco. I had lost it altogether at one point last month which is the instance you're probably referring to

I listen to sectors 1, 2, 3, 5 and the county channels (sheriff, clean etc.) from the Upper Chichester/Aston area and sector 5 has always been a little weak & scratchy to me. When I lived in the Upper Darby/ Lansdowne area I couldn't get sector 5 at all.

Really? It was loud & clear through Drexel Hill when I last lived there a decade ago. Never had an issue when I go back and revisit

Yes really, I was near Baltimore Ave and Lansdowne Ave. Of course I was (and am) using a RS 2022 Pro with a mobile antenna on a windowsill.

It was loud & clear up until it was reported in the new Delco TRS thread by @Whiskey3JMC .

Keith fixed it and it was good for a while. The problem seems to be with the Sector 5 dispatch console. The mobile units sound fine.
