Item #3 from the Forum Rules and Guidelines on the main forum menu references your request.
3) How do I delete my post(s) or thread(s)?
You don't. Only a Moderator can delete your post(s) or thread(s). Typically we do not delete posts or threads no matter what. Keep in mind that Google and other search engines index the site fairly often and chances are your post is now archived for all eternity. If your reason for having your post deleted is due to your job situation or you've posted confidential information that you shouldn't have, please review this thread:
Posting company or priviledged information on these forums.
Yeah , I get it. See rule number three. My point is that I'm shocked it isn't more obvious , like " are you sure " or " this post cannot be deleted past 30 minutes , are you sure" " because this is forever".
I have been duped into some kind of cult where I can leave , but not delete my account and everything associated with it , if I've posted. My account will be , how did they put it ? "Inactive" ?
but will remain so that my post that I wish to remove will remain. It's like a sick joke.
If I make too much trouble , I'll be blocked but my content will remain.
