Pro-651: Deleting Objects Help

Hello! If I'm not mistaken, the way to delete objects is to press CL and FUNC but it doesn't work for me or, rather, it only works perhaps 1 out of every 30 tries. Is there an alternate method of deleting a single object?

To delete an object:

1. Select the object using PGM.
2. Press FUNC.
3. Press CL.
4. Press F1 (YES).

Somehow this isn't working for me now. I get to an object and after pressing "edit" the function key does nothing. I'm clearly doing something wrong.

Unfortunately, that no longer works. When selecting an object using PGM the function key does nothing.

ok, hit PGM - select the object you want to delete. Hit FUNC. is there an "F" in the upper left corner of the display? Does the unit beep when you press the FUNC button? if so then hit CL.
