    We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

    If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

DENVER – A firefighter was injured after a small natural gas explosion in Lower Downtown on Tuesday evening.

According to the Denver Fire Department, the call first came in as a gas leak around 6:45 p.m. at Wazee Wire Works Lofts near 14th and Wazee in LoDo.

Denver Fire says the explosion happened while firefighters were checking out the leak.

Denver Fire says the firefighter was not burned or badly injured by the hospital. He was taken to a local hospital to be checked out.

It is not clear what the extent of damage was from the explosion.

A woman who lives in the building told 9NEWS she felt the building shake, but firefighters say the building was not evacuated.
