DENVER -- A Denver firefighter was sent to the hospital Tuesday night, after receiving a small electrical shock while fighting a fire.
A spokesperson for the Denver Fire Department called the ambulance ride just a precaution, adding that the firefighter is expected to be fine.
Firefighters were called to the vacant home in the 200 block of Newton Street just after 7 p.m.
The first crews on scene reported seeing flames and heavy smoke coming from the house, but were able to quickly get the fire under control.
The cause is still under investigation.
