The RDC is on Facebook, and I messaged them a couple months back.

Phoenix (covers Paradise Valley and Laveen.)
Glendale
Peoria
Sun City (covers Youngtown)
El Mirage
Surprise
North County (covers Sun City West, Wittmann, and adjacent unincorporated areas. Is a part of the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority. AFMA West.)
Tolleson
Avondale
Goodyear (covers Litchfield Park)
Buckeye
Buckeye Valley
Tonopah
Harquahala Valley
Gila Bend
Daisy Mtn (covers Anthem, Desert Hills, New River, Black Canyon City)
Scottsdale
Tempe
Guadalupe
Sun Lakes (part of the Arizona Fire and Medical Authority. AFMA East.)

Phoenix FD RDC is also the 9-1-1 PSAP for Luke AFB, then they transfer the call to Luke AFB FD. I think the RDC is also the 9-1-1 PSAP for the Gila River Indian Community FD. Phoenix then transfers the call to them to be dispatched.

Here's a map for the Rural/Metro fire stations in Maricopa and Pinal counties. I've heard reference to a station 854, but it's not on here:

https://www.ruralmetrofire.com/stations-service-areas-maricopa.html

Mesa FD RDC dispatches for:
Mesa
Gilbert
Queen Creek
Rio Verde
Superstition (Apache Junction and surrounding area.)

The Ft. McDowell Indian Community dispatches themselves on the TOPAZ RWC radio system, but uses a seperate talkgroup from the Mesa FD RDC. I don't know who their 9-1-1 PSAP is.

The Salt River Indian Community dispatches themselves, AFAIK. I don't know who their 9-1-1 PSAP is.

Tonto Foothills VFD, a small neighborhood on the north end of Cave Creek, is dispatched by themselves when residents dial a specific telephone number that acts as a reverse autopatch to 159.3600. They also ask residents to dial 9-1-1 for Rural/Metro.

Circle City-Morristown FD dispatches themselves, AFAIK.

Wickenburg dispatches themselves.

I think that covers the Valley.

Small note, in the valley every local PD is their own PSAP and then the call is transferred to a secondary PSAP for Fire/Medical. The 2 main ones are Phoenix (PFDRDC) and Mesa (MRDC).

Gila River handles their own Police & Fire
Salt River handles their own Police & Fire
Luke AFB handles their own security & Fire. Luke Fire has one-way automatic aid onto the base and mutual aid within a 5-mike radius of the base.

Tolleson PD dispatches for El Mirage PD and is the PSAP for El Mirage

PFDRDC no longer dispatches for Gila Bend (the Buckeye Valley Rescue). Gila Bend has their own ambulance service now.

Black Canyon City although now apart of the Daisy Mountain Fire District is still referred to as E331 and dispatched by Rural Metro until radio infrastructure is in place along the I-17. DSY ambulances transport from BCC.

Hey John,

Salt River PD has the PSAP. While working at Top Golf out there I had to call them many times for Medical & Police issues.

Thanks.

I'm surprised that Tolleson handles El Mirage. I would think that Surprise would be the more logical choice, especially for calls that both agencies respond to. They'd have the dispatchers in the same room.

Gila Bend Rescue is a Buckeye Valley unit? I thought Gila Bend Rescue was a seperate department from Gila Bend Fire, and was dispatched by Phoenix?

Surprise used to be the PSAP and dispatch for El Mirage. That changed a few years ago. Tolleson PD also dispatches the Tohono O'Odhan PD at the Desert Diamond Casino.

Rescue 381 WAS a Gila Bend Ambulance that was staffed by Buckeye Valley Fire personnel and dispatched by PFDRDC. Buckeye Valley and Gila Bend terminated their agreement and AMR stepped in to place an ambulance into GIB until their ambulance service was up and running. Now PFDRDC has nothing to do with Gila Bend. Rural Metro is the PSAP and I believe Gila Bend still self-dispatches themselves for both Fire & EMS.

Gila Bend has a medic unit, no longer part of Buckeye Valley. They are dispatched by Rural/Metro.

RMFD dispatches for:

Central AZ RM
AZ City
Regional Fire Rescue
Queen Valley
Circle City/Morris Town
Black Canyon
Mayer
Williamson Valley
Bagdad
Peeples Valley
Yarnell
Gila Bend

Someone needs to tell Rural/Metro that the dispatcher side of Circle City-Morristown FD's repeater sounds off frequency. The mobile & portable radios sound fine.

John- it depends on the dispatch console position used. Some upgrades are being made. We’ll do some radio checks tonight. Thanks for the info!
