East Denver 2nd Alarm | 5280FIRE
11/26 ~ At 21:05 Denver Engine 19, Truck 19 & Chief 4 were dispatched to a Class 1 Fire Alarm at 9029 East Mississippi Avenue. While enroute an RP reported seeing flames from a patio, prompting an updrade to a full response. 19′s a pair arrived at the Breakers Apartment complex and observed smoke in the air. Engine 19 laid in on the alpha side and advanced an attack line to the Charlie Side where Truck 19 reported flames showing. One first floor unit was fully involved and auto exposing the 2nd and 3rd floors. Chief 4 immediately transmitted a second alarm. E14 laid in to the bravo/charlie side and pulled a back up line. The fire was quickly knocked down and held to the unit of origin. The Truck crews completed primary searches on the structure which all proved negative with only minor smoke damage on the upper levels. The second alarm was released within 30 minutes, no injuries were reported and investigators were called to the scene.
