I've been to Atlanta dozen of times and on this trip into Atlanta on I-85 north I was able to pick them up 20 miles out. Normally I don't pick them up until I'm inside the 285 and even then it always sounded like crap being a Simulcast system. Today they've been coming in nice and clear all day regardless of where I am in the city.

I don't know for sure but I just brought up the system on my 106 from here in mid-Cobb county and it still only has about 50-70% decode rate on the TSYS analysis. Pretty much what it was a couple of months ago when I was doing antenna tests on that system. That doesn't mean that they couldn't have optimized or relocated antennas or such. Just that my location hasn't seen any difference on my radio.

Wow, I thought ATL was all encrypted. I never bothered to try- I don't have a digital scanner anyway.

How do you think you will hear the system:confused: I can't even receive it unless mobile in Gwinnett. Especially now that it is digital.

You haven't seen my 70 element stacked yagis for 800 MHz? LOL!

I used to go through Atlanta all the time going from Florida and back, but not really anymore. But anyway, I don't have a digital scanner so.
