I am thinking of purchasing a digital scanner.
Is there anyone out there currently monitoring a all digital system.
What Department ?
What scanner ?
I'm using a 396XT and monitor (in North Carolina) the NC VIPER system which is combination Digital and Analog but is on the way to being a full P25 system, the Charlotte (NC) Regional P25 system, and the Rowan Salisbury TRS which is a mixed mode system but will be full P25 by January 2014.
The 396XT is a great unit and you can't beat the size, but in asking this question you're going to get your hardcore Uniden, Radio Shack and GRE fans. I use a mix of Uniden and Radio Shack as well as Motorola stuff for my monitoring.
