Digital RX display

When the 325 is receiving a DMRT3 or any other form of DMR or digital it doesn't display the format of the digital on the screen unless receiving a transmission.

Why is this?

For example I'm currently scanning 2 dmr tier 3 sites and it doesn't come up as T3 unless there's a transmission. Unlike the newer scanners which show what kind of format they're listening to. Its quite annoying

Not sure is this is a workaround but here goes…

If the scanner will not list what tier it is until there is a transmission and you wish to set what tier the system is using while scanning, why not program the system as a tier 2 and then again as a tier 3, with the programmable system label showing the respective tiers?

I have done so just to work around that.

Would have thought the free area that does show the digital format could indeed show it like it does during transmission or search mode.

Atleast I know its decoding when the frequency is showing below
