I recently tapped my scanner (pro25) and downloaded T4WIN. Do I still need a digital scanner to receive these codes or is there software that I can listen to these with my PC?
With the software it is reconizing the signal.

The t4win is Paging decode Software
All you need is to connect it to a discriminator ....
If Your Scanned have a Discriminator it will decode . No matter whether the scanner is digital capable or not ....

The T4win (correction)

My Mistake
it is A Trunk Software ... beside this mistake all other things I wrote are no change
it will decode the trunk (and Track it) if you have a Discriminator and RS232 To control the receiver .....

You do not need a digital scanner.
With the software it is reconizing the signal.
Use UniTrunker. Park your scanner on the active control channel. Feed your discriminator tap into the sound card of your computer. It may take some fiddling to get it to work. The level has to be just so. Once working, UniTrunker will display talkgroups and I-Calls. However, you will not hear any conversations/voice.

UniTrunker has the ability to control a second scanner from the data it receives. I'm pretty sure the PRO-25 is not one it can control (no software can). Most of the scanners which have the ability to be controlled are Unidens. Anyway, what I do it run one scanner just for UniTrunker and a separate 2nd scanner to listen to. Good luck.
