Digital vs Analog in Frederick MD.

Hi all...

A couple rookie questions for you.

I currently have a Radio Shack Pro-90 running with an Antennacraft ST2. I have a Radio Shack Pro-197 on the way to replace the Pro-90 and wanted to know if the ST2 will be a good antenna for the Pro-197. It can receive digital signals right?

Also, will my jumping up to a digital scanner benefit me a lot in Frederick, MD? I think some systems here have already gone digital, right?

The antenna will be fine. There are some digital systems around you but the current one for your county is analog. I believe they are building a new digital one. I would have either waited to get a new scanner or gotten a PSR-800 just in case the new one is TDMA.

I just read in the Frederick Post from a few days ago that Frederick County is switching their analog system over to digital next year.
