I have discovered some unknown talkgroups on the Onslow County/Jacksonville City system while scanning for a couple days I have a uniden BCD436HP and I put it in discovery mode and set it to compare to DB so all the talkgroups is what it picked up and identifying them would be greatly appreciated!!
Thank you!

34004 is in the data base as Onslow County Sheriff's Office dispatch, but that's all listed until 34500.

8614 (34324) is Onslow County Sheriff's Dispatch. 84D4 (34004) is not listed in the database. I am monitoring the above talkgroups to try and identify them.

Animal Control is 85CB (34251).

84D4 is associated with City Fire. No name for the TG yet.
8639 is associated with County Fire. No name for the TG yet.

I updated the database. More to come as UniTrunker showed 38 new talkgroups on top of what Bobby92 listed above. So as of right now, there are 58 talkgroups that need to be identified. It just takes time to listen to the traffic.

If you are running Windows 7, you feed the discriminator audio into the microphone input on the computer's sound card. Open UniScope and turn your scanner to the control channel of the system that you want to monitor. Next, right-click on the speaker icon on the bottom right of the screen and select recording devices. Then double-click the line-in device and select "levels." The scope trace should be moving if you set everything up. If you see a flat line, then you need to either select a different device or plug the disc audio into a different port on the sound card. Once you see movement on the trace, then slowly move the volume/level of the device in Windows until the trace is within the window and not going off of the screen at the top/bottom. Now, you should be able to open UniTrunker and start seeing the data pop up on the screen. All of my computers are different, but I've found that a level right around 10 provides the best decode for me.

I use my GRE PSR600 to run UniTrunker. I use the usb cable that came with it and plug it into the usb port on my desktop computer and run UniTrunker. It wont deocde the audio of the system, but it sure as heck pulls all of the CC data just fine....

Right now I'm monitoring TGID 34209 and it sounds like some kind of road maintenance crew or something like that you know like the guys holding the stop/slow signs during road work and also I hear they are talking about sending vehicles through and asking if they are clear down there
and i'm also showing Unit ID's of 1330956 and 1331117

Could be a VFD doing traffic control as well.

If I could've caught more of it on discovery mode, I would've been able to figure out who it was, but I didn't catch it all.

Hopefully all of us will be able to verify TGs as time goes by...

85AB had traffic of two individuals saying that they were on the "Piney Green Channel."

Also, 84D4 appears to be Jacksonville City Fire Channel 2.

3 days ago I had my scanner going and it picked up a individual saying "Engine 3 on ops 2"
and it was on talkgroup 84D5(34005) so from the way that sounds that could be Jacksonville Fire ops 2 channel

Found that talkgroup 861DH(34333) might be associated with Onslow County Sheriff cause I heard a officer talk about the subject running and then he switched over to the Onslow County Sheriff Dispatch channel and advised the dispatch

I have that one in my tg matrix as Onslow SO but no actual name or description.

Lets keep trying to ID these TGIDs....

It is nice to see a group like this working together. I wish we had more like this group in the areas around my area. I have worked for months on the TACN sites in West Tennessee logging UID's and hunting new TG's keep up the good work.

I was messing with the scanner again and on TGID 860D(34317) I heard a few officers mention "magistrate's office" and some said they were at the "magistrate's office" and it was around noon time when I heard an individual say "Court room 3 is down for lunch we will resume at 2"
I have the audio files if, for any reason someone might want to hear it.

I guess that one could be the OCSO Courts TG. I have logged activity on that TG from the beginning as I had time, and noticed most of the traffic was related to courtroom numbers and offender names etc.

That would be a safe bet for the tag for that TG.
