The NASA Wallops Amateur Radio Club W4WFF UHF repeater has been switched over to MotoTrbo/Analog dynamic mixed mode. It is currently not networked with PRN/MARC, but we're working on it. When we get to that point, we'll be strictly MotoTrbo and analog will be disabled. Until then, we'll keep it in DMM.

The repeater is located at the NASA Wallops Flight Facility in Wallops Island, VA on the Virginia Eastern Shore.

Frequency: 444.880 +5 MHz
Color Code: 1
Local Talkgroup: 27500 (Both timeslots)

For analog, use PL 100.0 Hz.

All information here at the club website: http://sites.wff.nasa.gov/warc/repeaters.htm

We invite anyone, including visitors to the area to use it. We are located just several miles from Chincoteague Island, home of the famous Chincoteague ponies.

Hi all, OK I decided to take the plunge and get my feet wet in DMR. I have two questions. If I am reading the repeater directory correctly it looks like most DMR repeaters in Massachusetts are VHF not UHF, is that correct? My second question is where can I download a code plug for the Massachusetts repeaters, I am planning on using a Motorola XPR 5550?
Thanks
Frank

UPDATE: NASA Wallops UHF DMR

Update for the NASA Wallops Amateur Radio Club UHF DMR W4WFF Repeater

As of last Wednesday, the 444.8800 repeater went online with the NC-PRN DMR network. We have a brand new antenna, 7/8" hardline and a new site for the repeater. It's loud, with a confirmed 25 mile south voice check and about 20 mile north voice check.

Not sure Nathan if that is the one I am hearing or not. I spoked via email to one of the frequency maintainers for the 444.950 in this area he claimed he didn't know what or where the frequency is. Haven't heard from the others I have emailed about this repeater system.

Who knows, who knows. Frequency coordination in the amatuer radio world (at least for us in the USA, under FCC Part 97) is just a suggestion. So certainly a toss up!

Welp, I just checked the Repeater Book website after I submitted the 444.950 frequency in Perry, Georgia. It's definitely DMR signals and a day later after the submission was approved it shows a color code of 0. Maybe someone knows more info about the DMR repeater and got it submitted right.

BlueGrassDMR.org for all KY DMR repeaters.

London, KY 443.200 CC1, all brandmister TG's as well as DMR-MARC TG's.

Its a MMDVM module on a Yeasu Fusion repeater, so it'll do DMR, D-STAR, FUSION, and soon P-25 as well.

Does anyone have any information about DMR repeaters in the southwest Ohio region?
Particularly interested in Clark County, Greater Dayton area code plugs.
New to this, so please have a little patience with me.

Odd as it might sound, the basic code plug for the Hoosier DMR Network has all of southwest Ohio's repeaters already set up and ready to use. You could download that and then either copy/paste the Ohio systems into a new code plug, or just keep it as is in case you ever travel around in Indiana.

New DMR Codeplug for Dayton Ohio and Springfield Ohio?

Is there a new (than 01/01/17) codeplug that has more talk groups than the one that I have? Got my MD-380 at the end of December 2016 and was able to find a good set from VE7LE after the New Years Day World Wide Net.
If anyone has a better set that is dated later than that date, please contact me.
Thanks es 73! de

John, only talk groups that are actually carried by the repeater are useful. You cannot simply add any talk group into your radio's code plug and expect it to work.
