Looking into buying a used R30.
Was wondering how the audio decode of DMR compares with other radios, such as TRX-1 and SDS100.
The DMR in my current area is DMR T3 and DMR 1F

You might be able to do it with a computer and proper software. I did decode FT8 with my R30. Great radio if you can get one.

I'm not sure where I got that idea from.
Still considering buying it.
But it needs a new battery and doesn't have the original antenna.

Just get your own antenna, Great Receiver cover everything but DMR
Nothing special about iCom antenna, plenty batteries on the market to fit R30, I think battery is the same as R15? great receiver beats anything else on the market. I have TRX-1, Unidens amongst other scanners and iCom reception and sensitivity is hard to beat,
scanning some 200 memories per second, Out of the vehicle I am using Watson 801 short antenna in the vehicle Laird or Larsen triband
NMO antennas. Diamond RH 77's 771's are great but bit longer than Watson
also iCom have a BT facility (with mixed success)

You won't regret buying it. It is the best handheld receiver on the market. The included antenna is ok but there are better ones out there. I use this on mine...
