I have a SDS 100 and was wondering how I could search local DMR frequencies? I know how to import them into my scanner through the RR database but I'm wondering if there are some that I could find just by searching.
It has not been updated since August 2019, but this site can show you agencies & companies that are licensed to use DMR.
Find the newest frequencies for your digital radio scanner.

Note that just because somebody is listed, does not confirm that they are using DMR, only that they are licensed to do so.
In my area, quite a few systems that are in the database as LTR or Motorola Type II analog, have actually converted to DMR systems.
Look at this system:
Children's Medical Center of Dallas Trunking System Profile

In the database, it is classified as an LTR system. But let's look at one of the licenses.
FCC Callsign WPCG602 (CHILDRENS MEDICAL CENTER OF DALLAS)
www.radioreference.com
Look at the details on the database page for that license.

The emission codes I highlighted are for DMR (MotoTRBO).
I threw the frequencies into a conventional system (just to check for activity), and loggings show a a DMR trunked system is being used.
Then, I added all their licensed frequencies to a new DMR system, and ran System Status, and LCN Finder, to determine the color code & LCNs involved so that I could start documenting what talkgroups are in use.
Besides the digital search page, take a few of the (mostly business) trunked systems that are labeled as LTR or Motorola Type II. Append them to a Favorites list & let then scan for a few days (business systems are generally active during a normal business day, so no activity at night or on a weekend does not really mean anything.
If nothing as heard on their current system type (and as far as you can determine, the company or agency is still in operation), look at the licenses & see if you see DMR (or NXDN) emission codes. If so, then there's one to investigate.
