I have a BC895XLT and I cannot hear anything. But when I put my ear phones in it, it works.
Is my speaker broken or I have to do something to hear anything?

bc895xlt question

I fixed the noise thing.

Now I would like to know if there is a difference between a normal analog scanner and an analog trunk tracker?

I'm from kirkland lake and I would like to know if a trunk tracker is usefull around here?

someone told me it would be easier to listen to ems, is that true?

I have a bc895xlt trunk tracker.

Trunktracker scanners can monitor trunking system correctly. If a person programmed frequencies from a trunking system into a scanner that doesnt have trunktracker then you would miss alot of the radio traffic from dispatcher to field units and so fourth. If your area / county uses a trunking system then you have the right scanner. You just have to program it correctly.

Try this link too, it may help you.

You should look in our database; it's available to everyone. Just click on the link under the site title in the blue toolbar. I'm betting the OPP has some coverage there, but I'm not certain.

There's no such thing as too little information in this game - the more the better.

Try these freq.'s for police:

139.8000 Kirkland Lake

142.2150 Kirkland Lake

For Ambulance, this requires setting your radio up for VHF trunking
Base
141.015

Spacing
15.0

Offset
380

then enter the Site 24 freq.'s
King Kirkland
141.405
141.630
142.350
142.695
142.860
143.070
this will allow you to trunktrack and hear EMS,MTO but not hear OPP or MNR,talkgroup numbers will show up though for OPP and MNR

The BC895XLT does not support VHF trunking, only 850MHz Motorola.
