So is it just me or is anyone else had a problem trying to hear this system in the last week and a half or so?

Yes, I haven't heard really anything on the system. Not sure why.

Nothing is apparently different on any of my radios. Unusual.

I was listening for a short while this morning and picked up Taylor FD and some partially encrypted Taylor PD.

Downriver coming in pretty good this morning. Getting clear transmissions from:

Rvrv Police1 Police Dispatch F1
SFCOM 1 Fire South Area Primary
DRCD PD DISP Downriver Central Police: Dispatch
Mvdal Fire 3 Fire 3 also used as Police Dispatch

Well I figured out the problem. My scanner went deaf.. I found that if I was under a tower I could hear just fine but once I got around a mile away hear no more. My first clue it was the scanner was when I tried to listen to NWS at 162.55 and heard nothing. Got another BCD 396 XT off of eBay and problem solved. I'm back!

Changed Site # 002 (Simulcast) to 002 (Simulcast)

I noticed back in September 2017 this was a reported change, "Changed Site # 002 (Simulcast) to 002 (Simulcast)". What does this mean? Does it require any change in our scanners?
While we are at it, anything new here in downriver scanning?

No changes needed to your scanners. It means the site information for system was updated.

Uniden SDS100

I would sure like to have a new Uniden SDS100, but, Living Downriver, I don't think it will do anything more than my BCD536HP or HomePatrol 1?
Or will it?

Getting one anyway! Maybe I'll sell my HP1 or GRE PSR-800 (which is at Whistler getting the WS1080 and DMR upgrade)

Thought I'd chime in, Downriver thread has been quiet lately. I did get an SDS100 and working well. Anyone have anything new to report?
