DSD+ Audio Shaping And Filters

Can anyone let me know what 'S" command audio shaping does and the difference between the 2 audio filters with 'N' command ?

For me the audio shape filter being disabled (because its enabled by default) is only helpful when I'm listening to a legacy p25 system with a motorola type 2 control channel because for some reason the newer fastlane versions cant decode the p25 legacy systems voice properly without disabling shaping filter. The system is the primary Connecticut state pd system. For the noise filter it's only useful for analog systems you maybe listening to with fmp24 so the audio doesnt sound ear piercing when listening to analog transmissions. The noise filters dont affect digital signals.
