We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. I have been getting this error for my dongles when I try to load DSD+ with the dongles plugged in:

usb_claim_interface error -5

Does anyone know what this means and how to fix it? Thanks!

Something else has already taken possession of the rtl devices before DSD has tried to. Is there any other software using the devices? Is there a TV driver taking them?

I have a tv card installed, but it's connected to PCI slot and shouldn't take any USB resources. I did use a tool to change the serial numbers of my 2 dongles because they were the same (00000001), but problem still exists. 1 dongle is a NooElec mini 2 and the other a NooElec Mini 2+, they do have the same model number also. Is it safe to use the RTLTool to change the model also, or should this be done? This is the tool I used to change the serial numbers.
