Nope, you can just use one. If you use one dongle, it going to monitor the CC and VC at one. But if you use two dongle, one dongle will monitor the CC and the second will monitor the VC. That’s mean you hear multiple channel one by one.

Yes sir, as long as the freqs fit the dongles spread. I have 1 dongle running counties old 800 smartzone and newer p25 system. 2 signal vfo's.

The thread title indicates that you want to use DSD+. If so, yes, one dongle per site. You'd run two instances of the SDR software (FMP24, probably) and two instances of DSD+.
