Can someone help me setup to run DSDPlus version 1.101.1? I have all the files and dll installed in to one folder like instructed to do so. My scanner I will be using is the R/S Pro 2039 with the discriminator tap. I have the cable plugged in to the discriminator plug back of the scanner to the headphone jack on my laptop.

Have you tried running it? If that does not work, try running it as an administrator.

I clicked on run as administrator and it says...Synthesizing audio for first DMR time slot? Do I have this running right.

If you have it plugged in to the laptop headphone jack, as your post states, that is probably the problem. Shouldn't it be plugged in to the "line in" jack?

Some laptops don't have line in jacks. Some use shared jacks. But, if the program is not running that is a SW issue, not a HW issue.

Sounds like you've put -1 on the command line. Pretty sure you don't need or want that.

Steer Windows Explorer to your DSD+ folder and double-click on DSDPlus.exe to get it running.

In the console window (the ugly looking one), DSD+ should've displayed your input and output sound devices. Verify that it's listening to your line or mic input and sending its output to your speakers:

DSD+ 1.112pt
DSDPlus -h for help summary

Appending synthesized audio to file 'DSDPlus.wav'

audio input device #1 = 'Microphone Array (Realtek High '
audio input device #2 = 'CABLE-A Output (VB-Audio Cable '
audio input device #3 = 'CABLE-B Output (VB-Audio Cable '

audio output device #1 = 'Speakers (Realtek High Definiti'
audio output device #2 = 'CABLE-B Input (VB-Audio Cable B'
audio output device #3 = 'CABLE-A Input (VB-Audio Cable A'

audio input device #1 (Microphone Array (Realtek High ) initialized <---
audio output device #1 (Speakers (Realtek High Definiti) initialized <---

I guess you should make sure you're actually plugged into the right jack. Have you used this discriminator setup with any other programs? Do you see an audio signal in DSD+'s source audio window?

And what kind of digital signal are you feeding to DSD+?

I think I got it working this is my first time using DSD and here's a picture of what I am seeing trying to listen to a DMR signal. I think I have a setting wrong. I am using the cable that plugs in to your discriminator tap and to the microphone jack. As you can see I'm getting ERR2 ERR 3 DCC=3 and DCC=7. Also in DSD+ Event log doesn't show any information accept the time stamp and the DSD+ info and digital info nothing about the events.

Looks like a repeater data burst that is sent out periodically.
BS Data- Base station
CACH- Common Announcement Channel

If there were voice in the signal you should get a talk group number and src/tgt (Radio ID) info in your channel activity , you'll also see VC2,3,4... In the display you posted. Every DMR superframe has 6 voice frames so the VC# just indicates each frame.

It also looks like it is a weak signal or you're not getting a good decode due to all of the ERR indications.
Verify you're not off on the frequency and if you're using a PRO-668 or PSR-800 try increasing the IF output on the scanner. Also check your line in level.
Maybe writing a simple batch file to lock the protocol (DMR decoding only) might help too.

Keep your scanner parked on that frequency for a while and see if you get any talk groups in your event log.

Thank you for the helpful information. I think I little bit of a ways away from the repeater that is why I am getting the weak signal and messages being heard when the users speak. The users do sound garbled like I am away from the repeater system where ever it's located at. Maybe I have the microphone setting to high the setting is set on 33 and microphone boost is set to 12.0DB is this perfect? I am using a R/S Pro 2039 mobile scanner and I made sure the connections to the radio and to my laptop is secured like they should be.

After spending a good hour on trying to fix/solve the issue it was a simple one under the microphone settings I had to click off Noise Suppression and Acoustic Echo Cancellation. Now I am able to hear a local HAM DMR repeater on North America.

Thank you everyone for the help!
