I've been trying to get back to using DSDPlus after about a two year hiatus. I've moved a long distance from where I previously used it so I have to start pretty much over. I downloaded the latest version and FMP24 works fine. The problem starts when I try to use DSDPlus to monitor a trunked system.

Malwarebytes flags is as Malware.Heuristic and even if I add DSDPlus to the Allowed List it still gets flagged. It seems I have to reboot for that too work.

I finally got past that, but neither of the .bat files I have set up will run. It appears that o20001 on FMP24 is not communications with i20001 on the DSDplus rc bat.

I did the upgrade to the current version of DSDPlus.

Does anyone have any idea what's going on? Or rather what's not going on?

be sure your base files are up to date via the menu.
Will not run at all or runs but does not connect?
What is showing in the console log when you try to start it?

Read through the notes.txt file, as some bat commands have been discontinued, if you are re-using the old bat file things might have changed in two years. Also, as @cg said, make sure base files are up to date.

Why do you go and set up your own batch files when there are ready-to-go batch files already made? If you'are running one dongle:

FMP24-CC.bat
1R.bat

If you get those two working together, then modify things based upon those batch files (but don't modify those batch files -- copy them and modify the copies

You should whitelist your whole DSDPlus folder in Malwarebytes / your AV software.

The "latest version" download only consists of a couple of files at most. You need all of the base files.

If it were me:

1. I would download https://www.dsdplus.com/dsdplusuploads/FastLane/DSDPlusBaseFi1es.zip
2. I would extract that to an empty DSDPlus folder
3. Then I would navigate into each of the directories and copy ALL of the contents into the main DSDPlus folder
4. I would repeat that for every directory
5. I would download the latest DSDPlus Fast Lane (I'm assuming that is what you mean by having downloaded the latest)
6. I would extract that latest DSDPlus FL into my main DSDPlus folder, overwriting anything else in there.
7. I'd whitelist the folder in all AV / AV-type software

Then I'd run:

FMP24-CC.bat
1R.bat

And I'd have fun

FMP24 runs, but at the end of the start up says,

"Waiting for DSD+ link with link ID 20001."

I'll have t update my base files, since as I said it's been about two years.

I'm running two Noolec R820T2 dongles.

I'll download the base files and install them on the laptop I'm using.

Thanks to everyone for the help. I'm surprised I remembered any of how this works at all.

I'll report back with my results.

Everything updated, still getting "Waiting for DSD+ link with link ID 20001." Get the same message when I start FMP24VC only it says ID 20002.

That seems to be the problem, getting data from FMP24CC to DSDPlus.CC and the same with FMP24VC to DSDAPlus.VC

Otherwise seems okay

Which bat files are you running? Please show us the contents of the files you are running.

Also, try running 1R.bat from a terminal window rather than through windows explorer.

Are you using the stock batch files with no modifications?
You can change the numbers to other selections. As long as the FMP24 used for CC matches the one for DSDPlus CC and the same for the two VC files
You can use real basic files as many of the options commonly used are defaults. Single SDR operation can be run on an alternate link number.
FMP24 -o20010
DSDPlus -i20010

The modification is to FMP24, I changed the initial frequency to a control channel of the simulcast trunk system I want to monitor plus the frequency correction value.

Other than that right out of base files.

I run them from the desktop using shortcuts.

This same setup ran fine before I moved. I mostly monitored the ICE and Comtronics 900Mhz system and the RDC NXDN UHF system.

I'll try changing those values.

Those batch files can't be that big. Just post the contents of each of the batch files that you run.

The default 1R.bat creates a log file:
Code:
DSDPlus -r1 -i20001 >>1R-log.txt

Suggest you look for a DSD+ log file (e.g. 1R-log.txt in your DSD+ directory) and review its contents.

Not big at all. I'll just have to move them to this computer and then I'll post them.

I'll look for it.

DSDPlus should be creating a log file in CC.log. Suggest you look for this file and review contents. You will want to focus on the end of the log file for most recent results.

All it shows is this,

C:\DSD+>DSDPlus -i20002 -o1M -v3 -wsl106.450 -wss100.200 -wes420.627 -wel177.809 -weh15 -wcl14.975 1>>VC.log

Nothing else.

For some reason the data isn't getting from FMP24-CC to DSD-CC. The same thing happens with FMP24-VC and DSD-VC.

DSDPlus should be creating a log file in CC.log. Suggest you look for this file and review contents. You will want to focus on the end of the log file for most recent results.

Maybe need to back a step further....
Have the SDRs been used on the computer you are trying to run DSDPlus on?
Are the SDRs being seen by the computer? If not run Zadig to change the drivers to the correct ones.

Yes and yes. On FMP24-CC I see signal on the correct frequency. I will rerun Zadig and see if that helps.

I'm going to uninstall the Bulk In Interface drivers and start again. I'm not sure that's the solution, but it's a place to start.

Bat files,

FMP24 -rc -i1 -o20001 -P65.0 -f857.9625

FMP24 -rv -i2 -o20002 -P0.0

DSDPlus -rv -i20002 >>VC.log

DSDPlus -rc -i20001 >>CC.log
Here is the two batch files I was using with the current Fastlane.

FMPA -rc -i1 -o20001 -f853.9125

DSDPlus -r1 -f1 -i20001 >>1R853_9125B-log.txt

The log file can be set to whatever you want, might make it a bit easier to see what's going on.

Note - this pair was used with an Airspy doing double duty, both CC and VC.

Maybe try using just one SDR to help trouble shoot.

Make sure you review the section in the Notes file: "Using DSD+ with external signal source" and make sure it's not set to do that. That option is used when you want to use a SDR program like SDR++ to hunt down signals and then use DSD+ to decode. I do this sometimes and have to change back to using FMPA for trunking. Can't remember what's it's called but it's in the same menu area of DSD+ as the external signal source.
