I was wondering if it is possible to run two heads on one radio. Basically in a camper, could I have control of one radio from the front and rear without having to relocate to one radio face?

There are land mobile radios that are designed to work this way. One example is the Kenwood TK-x90 series--one RF deck can be controlled by two different control heads.

OTOH, I've not seen any amateur radios that have this feature. One possibility would be some sort of computer control scheme.

I was wondering if you could split the control wire with a junction of some sort. Like two phones out of the same jack? I know it not the same thing, but that's what I was thinking or inquiring about.

Reminds me of using a computer DB 25 switch box to select which control head was connected to the radio.

On the Kenwood TM-V71 TM-710 radios a RJ45 switch box for the control head.

I'd vote the Kenwood setup as described above. IIRC, not only can you do dual head, but dual RF deck to dual head. So you can have a VHF and UHF deck tied together and tucked away and have control of both of them from each control head at whatever spot you mount them. And the even better part - most of this equipment is going pretty cheap these days. The only other way I'd know is through Motorola but they were doing dual RF deck to single head with the Astro Spectras - not what you're looking for.

Now if you want P25, I know the newer versions of their mobiles can do the same - but more rare to find on the used market right now and I can guarantee parts will be harder to find cheap.

Also on the commercial LMR side, GE (now Harris) Orion mobiles could do dual head with the correct cable. You'd have to find a 136-153 split radio if you wanted 2M. 440 is a lot easier to find.
