• Effective immediately we will be deleting, without notice, any negative threads or posts that deal with the use of encryption and streaming of scanner audio.

We've noticed a huge increase in rants and negative posts that revolve around agencies going to encryption due to the broadcasting of scanner audio on the internet. It's now worn out and continues to be the same recycled rants. These rants hijack the threads and derail the conversation. They no longer have a place anywhere on this forum other than in the designated threads in the Rants forum in the Tavern.

If you violate these guidelines your post will be deleted without notice and an infraction will be issued. We are not against discussion of this issue. You just need to do it in the right place. For example:

When I was a kid it was VERY rare for a parent to react like they seem to today at kids games. Are parents taking this stuff that much more seriously now then when I was a kid? I remember parents getting a little frustrated at games but never running out and tackling kids or hitting umpires. What a crazy world this is turning out to be.... earth will self destruct in 50 years.. :p

When I was of that age, parents did not attend pickup games in the school yard nor did they feel the need to live vicariously through their children's lives. He deserves conviction and a stiff sentence. So long as society allows this parentall behavior to go unpunished, another child will be hurt, disabled, or killed by an asshole parent who was always picked last in a pickup game. The message has got to be sent and understood. Harm a child and face the sure consequences of swift and severe retribution.

..and the worst part is these asshole parents are raising children, who will no doubt become asshole adults. This is fallout from the 60's. These "parents" are children of hippies and their "no rules" attitude. It's all about them. People suck and it's only going to get worse.

Pretty sad that the parents take it more serious than the kids. Parents are supposed to be there to let the kids enjoy the sport they are playing in.

Also somewhere close to me, some guy went and shot the soccer coach, dont remember the details but its a sad world.
