WOLCOTT (AP) - Authorities say a World War II-era military plane has crashed in a remote area of Eagle County, but no one was injured.

Sheriff's spokeswoman Kim Andree says the single-engine North American T-6 crashed at about 11 a.m. on Monday about 10 miles north of Wolcott and 85 miles west of Denver.

Authorities say the pilot, 48-year-old John Zayac of Englewood, was the only person aboard and walked away with minor abrasions.

The plane took off from Centennial Airport in the Denver area and was headed to Reno, Nev.

The two-seat T-6 planes were used primarily as trainers.
