Can you elaborate on what radio system are you referring to? "talk group" ID's would generally be referring to group ID's on a trunked system.

Here is the listing for East Kootenay. There are no trunked systems listed so no TGIDs, only conventional channels. The three you ask about are in the listing.

Thank you for your reply , but these frequencies are not up to date, do indeed need the group id's and current frequencies

Yikes, I can't believe I didn't include that, thank you. I am looking for the Fire Dept DMR group ID's. Thanks again
No worries, thanks for clarifying. It doesn't look like we have any TGID's specified for any of the East Kootenay departments. Whatever you end up finding, please submit them to the database and we can have them added ASAP.

There are no trunked systems listed so no TGIDs, only conventional channels.

Regardless if a DMR system is conventional or trunked, DMR does use talkgroups. Generally, four pieces of information, for a conventional DMR system, are needed for monitoring:

1. The repeater output frequency
2. The colour code(akin to PL/DPL for an analogue system)
3. Timeslot(1 or 2)
4. Talk Group ID(also called a Group Call)

Some radios can receive any talkgroup, without having them programmed, but radios like the XPR series, MUST have all 4 of the listed items to be able to pass audio.

I thought he was talking about P25 systems in his first post, and that is what I was referring to, he didn't post about DMR till after my response.

Conventional P25 can also use talkgroups. Default for conventional P25, both repeated and simplex, is TG1, but any valid P25 TGID can be used. Our local ham P25 system has a bunch of linked talk groups, plus local ones.
