Hi,
This is my first venture over the border from Louisiana. I'm into Skywarn
and am building a spreadsheet to encompass about a 250 mile radius into
Texas. I've looked up the Tx DPS frequencies (155.37;155.460;159.03;
& 159.21. The first two are usually base radios showing no 'mobiles' and
the last two are repeaters with no "mobiles".

I also have agencies within this 250 mile radius that at the present, I can't
monitor during bad weather. Can anyone hhelp me with the one's who have
changed frequencies?

You can reach me by either my RR address, qrz.net address or gmail:
ka5(dot)lqj(@)gmail(dot)com.

GOD BLESS,

How are we supposed to know what agencies you can't hear?
In a 250 mile radius of where?

Did you look in the database here or search the FCC database for recent license changes or new licenses?

DPS may have changed some of the repeater sites in the past couple years.
They also have a lot less radio traffic now since they put computers in all the cars.
Put in all the frequencies in the statewide channel plan at the top of this page:
Department of Public Safety (DPS) Scanner Frequencies and Radio Frequency Reference
159.03 isn't used by the DPS in East TX.

Sorry..."Thanks"

Hi Tom, All,

Well, I pretty much don't hear anything from Smith County, west. I'm
including those counties out to Tarrent (Ft. Worth) for the convience
of others to monitor. I can't hear Ångelina county, south, but again,
I'm adding those all the way down for others.

The center of the Circle starts in Blanchard, LA., about 5 miles
Northwest of Shreveport, if that helps or the NORTH side of Cross Lake.

At preset, my J-Pole is 22' off the ground, not near high enough, but
being as I was the only one putting it up and my medical condition,
20' of fence top rail was all I could handle by myself. I'll have to
have some additional help to get it to 60', LOL! It will be braced at
each joint section and have guy ropes attatched to maintain vertical
stableization.

The information I'm collecting is on every Fire, Police, Hospital/EMS
agency: Frequencies;callsigns;Qths (where the xmtr is located, not
the mailing address) State, County, and erp's of the base, FB2's and
mobiles.

I hope this clears up any confusion.

GOD BLESS,

Don/KA5LQJ
