Department has a bunch of UHF frequencies first licensed 2003 ? Expires
7-1-2014

I don't think the following frequencies are in use. I monitor these
daily and no activity noted. They were not modified to reflect Narrow band
operation, and not listed in the data base.

453.4250
458.4250
460.1250
460.5000
465.1250
465.5000

465.1125 (156.7) Is the only one licensed as Narrow band This frequency seems to
be active with several fire police units. Activity has been noted
several times in the past month. I don't think the activity heard
is actually Eastern Adams police units. Can anyone shed light on
this operation ?

This frequency is listed in the DB as a repeater. (Incorrect)

Repeaters

More than likely they were for Vehicle based cross band repeater. .6 or 2 watt.

Most departments on that side of the county have been using 800mhz portables. the county placed some cross band repeaters 800 to low band on Laurel Mt. to put activity on the 800mhz freqs. so they did not loose them.

Thanks for your reply.

I did post about six months ago regarding the use of the used 800Mhz equipment and the various
channels in use.. I spent several days at the Laurel Woods site listening to all the input frequencies
licensed and noted no activity. From that, I assumed all signals were repeated from the low band
channels and not from the 800 inputs. Will make a return visit to give another listen.

The only channel noted at that time was the repeater in use at the court house for security.

The original question remains: Anyone know who the user of 465.1125 is ? The frequencies were
originally licensed by Eastern Adams Regional Police and used for car repeaters.

There were 3 or 4 Old Motorola 800 MHz repeaters at the "Laurel Woods" site (actually known as Pigeon Hills).. They were hard wired to the low band TX lines from the dispatch center.. They rebroadcasted the 46 MHz TX audio on to the 800 MHz freqs..They were there to put "activity" on the freqs..
I saw them there a few years back, before York County moved out of the site..

Thats the way it seemed when I was there months ago.. Medic228 says there are now some of
the 800 Mhz portables out in the field and I think he maybe correct.. Everything changes over
time and I appreciate the input... Take care
