is the Eastern CT state hotline still primarily not on the CLMRS, everytime Groton holds roll call during the 4am hour its sounds pretty clear to me there are alot of PD's that you can tell that its a analog signal being simulcast, at least it seems to me

It sounds like they are still using low-band 45.86. I don't undetstand why there was never an attempt to use I-Call for this. Many departments (like Norwich) had the analog 800 MHz radios installed before the big switch to CLMRS.

The purpose of the hotline is for police dispatch centers to communicate with eachother, different from I-call (now 8-call) which is designed for all agencies to communicate with eachother and on a wider level. While there is a talkgroup on CLMRN for the hotline(s), many departments still have their lowband stations. Those stations are all single site, not simulcast.

The Hotline is on low band. If you want to monitor it, locally, the Hotline is also simulcast on the Waterford system. The TG is 264.

I listen to the Eastern CT Hotline on CLMRN talk group 5495. In Radio Reference it is listed under “Eastern Connecticut Regional.”

Slightly off topic, but related, can be found on CLMRN talk group 23704, Stonington Town and Regional Interop. Stonington PD is the PSAP for the town of Stonington, but fire and EMS is mostly dispatched by Groton Fire Alarm and Westerly, RI. This talk group is primarily used for the Stonington call taker to ask GFA or Westerly for fire and EMS assets. After that, you hear GFA or Westerly dispatch the units.
